Coming down to land...

DSC03000, originally uploaded by Paisley Womble.

Travelling by portkey is so undignified for the uninitiated.

My longed-for Gryffindor socks are finished and I love them. I didn't bother to try and match the stripes (perhaps as an homage to Dobby the house-elf... does that sound like an appropriate excuse? - better than just sheer laziness) but sat back and let them fall where they would whilst knitting from the inside and outside of the ball at the same time (my favoured way of knitting two-at-a-time socks).

Ravelled here.

I hadn't noticed they weren't an exact match! And knitting from the inside and outside of the ball would give topsy-turvy socks anyway! Doesn't the yarn get awfully tangled?
