there has been...

There has been knitting.
  • Mum's cardigan is finally at the interesting bit (Noro!)
  • D's socks are at the gusset point and choking up the circs - I might have to switch to one sock at a time for a few rounds.

There has been painting.
  • I'm getting new blinds installed this week so it seeemed the opportune time to paint the front wall of the living room. (ie: paint it now or never get 'round tuit)

There has been waving temptation under noses.
  • I met up with Y and M for a little inititation into excursion to Morris & Sons. Like candy to a baby.

More textured knitting

DSC03119, originally uploaded by Paisley Womble.

C has been bugging me about not blogging.
There always seems to be fewer hours in the day in the depths of winter. That's my excuse anyway.
I finished this hat way ahead of schedule for SA's birthday, but I didn't want to blog it until it had been presented. Ravelled here.
I love the definition that twisted stitches give to cables and the ribbing makes for a warm, head-hugging fit.

...and needs some practice.

This should be fun.

E is for eggplant.....

....and C is for Cookie A.

This textured sock pattern is Eunice, from Sock Innovation.
Yarn is Grignasco Strong Print that I picked up at Clegs a couple of years ago. It has a teensy bit of sparkle in it and it stripes really nicely.
One sock down, one to go. I'm still on track for my six books project.
