bags are my bag baby

A few years ago I made bag for SeaBreeze.

It has been so well used that it no longer looks like this. The fabric is worn through in various spots and looking rather grubby.

So I was asked for a new bag "just like it". The original bag was improvised both in fabric choice and size and I didn't feel that I could re-produce the bag satisfactorily, so when Noodlehead published her new "Go Anywhere Bag" pattern last week, I thought it might produce a pleasing alternative.

Just like the original? No, but I hope its more sophisticated stylings will suit the new owner.

Right. Counting up the votes on the blog and the votes canvassed via private email, it was a fairly close result.

Vitamin D - 6 votes

Celery - 4 votes

So Vitamin D in orange it is.

I still plan to make the Celery cardigan at some stage. Perhaps I should find some green wool for that.

The last word goes to my step-dad who emailed me this little gem.

"Replace the orange wool with another colour or find a pattern called "Carrot".

decisions decisions

The global financial crisis part two may be crashing down around our heads whilst chaos and madness reign, but I need your assistance with my first world problem.

I have some bright orange wool with which I plan to make a cardigan. I've narrowed it down to 2 "healthy-sounding" designs, but I can't decide which one.

So I'm canvassing opinions and/or votes.

Much better

The extra length sits much better I think.
